What is a Network Railcard?

The Network Railcard is perfect for people who travel across London and the South East. It’s the fastest way to get discounts on train tickets, so you can shop, visit, and have fun with extra savings.

The best part? You can get discounts on tickets for family and friends travelling with you. Save 1/3 on train tickets for up to 3 more adults and a whopping 60% on up to 4 child tickets.

*Annual saving is based on the average savings made by combined Railcard holders between April 2025 and March 2026, excluding price of Railcard.

Am I eligible for a Network Railcard?

You can use a Network Railcard if you’re aged 16 and over and travel within London and the South East. It’s really that simple! And there’s more to save when you travel with others.

  • Travelling with other adults


    Save 1/3 on up to 4 adult tickets, including your own

  • Travelling with kids aged 5 to 15


    Get 60% off up to 4 child tickets

  • Travelling with kids under 5


    Children under the age of 5 get free train travel, whether you use a Railcard or not


What travel discounts can I get with a Network Railcard?

  • Journeys within London and the South East after 10am Monday to Friday, and all day on weekends and public holidays. View the Network Railcard area map. (A minimum fare of £13 applies Monday to Friday only, and a £1 minimum fare applies to child tickets, ages 5 to 15, at all times)

  • Some stations may allow you to start you journey earlier than 10am Monday to Friday. View all easements on time restrictions.

  • Ticket types included:

    • Standard Anytime (Day, Single, or Return)

    • Standard Off-Peak (Day, Single, or Return)

    • Standard Super Off-Peak (Day, Single, or Return)

  • In and around London:

    • Anytime Day Travelcards when bought as part of your ticket from outside London Zones 1 to 9 (subject to minimum fare of £23.60)

  • PlusBus day tickets

  • Combined rail to sea journeys:

    • some rail/sea journeys with Wightlink and Red Funnel Ferries to stations on the Isle of Wight

    • Hovertravel services to and from Ryde Hoverport

    • Stena Line ferries to the Republic of Ireland.

    • discount is only available on tickets as part of a journey from/to a National Rail station or on combined rail/sea journeys from/to Ryde Hoverport

You can only use the Network Railcard to the boundary

If you travel outside the Network Railcard area, you will have to buy full-price tickets for the journey outside the area. You must purchase these tickets before you cross the boundary and the train you are travelling on must stop at the boundary station.
